St Mary's vibrant extra-curricular programme provides for every interest. From surfing to sewing, dancing to debating, poetry to piano, students can find an array of extra-curricular activities in which they develop new skills, make friends with similar interests and broaden their learning experience.
Competition at Interhouse level takes place in sport, debating, public speaking, mock trials, drama, dance and music. Student groups include HOPE (Help Our Planet Earth) and Vision Generation, which assists our children in Third World Countries.
The Outdoor Education programme, a fundamental part of learning at St Mary's, is centred on camps for Years 5 to 9 and Year 11 which are designed as a component of the school curriculum, aimed at delivering the best possible education for girls. The new St Mary's at Metricup: A Centre for Learning and Leadership will provide a base for our camp programme in the future. There are countless opportunities to take part in extra-curricular outdoor education. The Duke of Edinburgh's Award Scheme, and scuba diving off the Abrohlos Islands and Exmouth are particularly popular activities.
