The Senior School Library, formally named the Elizabeth Myles Library in honour of the St Mary’s Headmistress from 1944 - 1956, is part of the Audrey Jackson Learning Technologies Centre. It occupies a central place on the school campus, both geographically and educationally, and is a busy hub of learning activity.

A spacious, welcoming, light, air-conditioned venue, the library is host to numerous classes booked in throughout the school day to utilise the research facilities on offer. These include access to the intranet, internet and worldwide web as well as an extensive library catalogue of book and non-book materials. Out of class time use is also encouraged, both before and after school, as well as during lunchtime. The library is also open on Tuesday and Thursday evenings for use by both boarders and day students.

The library calendar is packed with special events and notable occasions such as Book Week and National Library and Information Week and the versatile venue acts as a fabulous showcase for the creative and artistic talents of our students with constantly changing displays of student work and achievements.

Students are encouraged to become independent learners and researchers, supported by a team of professional library staff who are always on hand to direct, guide and advise. Year 11 students are invited to become part of the staff team by forming a Library Committee to assist with the daily circulation of resources. This option is particularly appealing to girls participating in the Duke of Edinburgh's Award Scheme.
