Physical Science is a Tertiary Entrance Scoring Subject and combines the fundamental branches of science. It is concerned with providing students with a greater awareness and understanding of the physical environment. In addition, students are encouraged to develop attitudes about science and the community.
It aims to develop students' scientific literacy and numeracy skills. There is an emphasis on activity rather than on the mathematical skills associated with Chemistry and Physics.
The course is designed to provide a sound and wide background in the sciences. It is ideal preparation for science-related courses at the universities, but is not recommended for students who wish to study pure sciences.
