Physics is a Tertiary Entrance Scoring subject. This fundamental branch of science is concerned with the study of matter and energy and their interactions. It is essentially an experimental discipline and its methods rely on this to support theories and observations.
A knowledge of the basic principles of physics enables students to have a better understanding of many natural phenomena and their application in technology. A well rounded education should include an understanding of these principles.
Students will have the opportunity to engage in activities which will give them hands-on experience with physics apparatus. They will use computer controlled data logging, bows and arrows, cathode ray oscilloscopes, solar cells, sound meters, geiger tubes and many other exciting pieces of equipment to investigate the physics of living.
