Senior Science is a Wholly School Assessed subject which offers an alternative science course for those students not wishing to pursue a Tertiary Entrance Examination science subject and/or for those interested in studying areas of science not normally covered in traditional science courses.
The course seeks to expose students to a wide range of scientific knowledge and to give them skills to solve real world problems and to survive in a society where science and technology play a very large role. The students have the opportunity to pursue a wide range of activities including boat handling, forensic science, cosmetics, road science and psychology. Senior Science is an activity based course with the major objectives being the development of science process skills and appropriate scientific attitudes.
