In 2008, a vineyard comprising over 3,000 vines was planted at St Mary's at Metricup: The Lady Treatt Centre for Learning and Leadership, with help from student groups, while they were on camp. The first grapes were picked by our Year 7 students at the beginning of 2011, and the first vintage, a 2011 Frankie's Folly Chardonnay, was released early in 2012, followed by a 2011 Frankie's Folly Cabernet Sauvignon late in 2011.
The wine is named after St Mary’s Old Girl, Lady Treatt (Frankie Wilson ’32) who made a significant gift to the development of St Mary’s at Metricup: The Lady Treatt Centre for Learning and Leadership.
We are currently selling the 2014 vintage of Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon. There is still some 2014 Chardonnay still available, while sales of the 2016 Chardonnay will follow soon.
