Pastoral and Academic Care

Anne Symington House has a dedicated team of staff committed to meeting the pastoral and academic needs of each boarder.

Each year group has their own housemother who remains with them throughout their time at the school. Working closely with each girl and her family, they develop an a close relationship and an in depth understanding of each girl in their care.

Boarding and academic staff work closely with the girls, encouraging them to reach their potential. In addition, there are dedicated boarding tutors who support them academically during prep time. There is also a Maths and English Club run by teaching staff in the evenings, which offers individual tuition to boarders.

This access to academic and pastoral support is a key factor in the success our boarders continue to receive in their results.
