Challenge reveals girls just want to have science fun

Students from other girls schools and local Gobernment schools were invited to St Mary's to challenge their problem-solving skills and explore physical science concepts as part of our third annual STEAMin Ahead Day. St Mary's launched the programme to promote Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Maths (STEAM) subjects as a driver of innovation. FIVE years ago, Zijun (Mary Jane) Yang (17) could not speak English. Last month, she was named one of the top 41 WA students for her academic achievements in 2015. Zijun was one of two students who graduated from St Mary’s Anglican Girls’ School last year with a General Exhibition award and Certificate of Commendation.
