Since 1921 the St Mary's community have dedicated themselves to collecting and preserving the story and heritage of St Mary's and its students.

Today, there is a vital and growing private collection of documents, trophies, publications, oral histories, memorabilia and photographs housed in the Marlene Carter Heritage Centre and displayed throughout the School. The incorporation of the archives collection into the daily life and curriculum of the School is regarded as essential in supporting the heritage of St Mary's, and reinforcing the ideals and beliefs established by our founding community.

Building our Collection

The achives collection will grow and develop with donations and help from Old Girls and the St Mary's community. Items such as hats, badges, blazers, photographs, letters, recollections, clippings, publications, school reports, music, drama and sporting programmes, all have intrinsic value and importance to the collection. Assistance from Old Girls, parents and staff with the sorting and identification of photographs would be greatly appreciated.
