Drama classes cater for a wide range of students and provide an exceptional creative outlet.
The highlight and focus for the year is the Senior School Production involving students from Years 10, 11 and 12. In recent years, the School has staged an eclectic range of productions including Jesus Christ Superstar, Legally Blonde and Oliver!
Each year the Lower School Production offers the opportunity for students in Years 7 to 9 to perform. The 2017 production was Peter Pan.
An introduction to drama. Students experiment with improvisation, mime and role play.
The aim is to develop the voice and movement skills and self-confidence of students.
The focus shifts to acting techniques, play-building strategies and script interpretation.
There are two courses offered to students: a two-period course and an extended course.
Years 11 and 12
Drama is studied as a ATAR subject. Students take on the many roles of theatre including acting, directing, dramaturgy, costume design, scenography, sound and lighting design, and script writing.
Students can extend their drama experiences by auditioning for Interhouse Drama and a School Production each year.
