St Mary’s boasts dedicated before- and after-school as well as vacation care facilities that cater for students from Kindergarten to Year 6, as well as their siblings.
The Centre has use of the school pool, hall, tennis courts, sporting ovals and Junior School climbing equipment. We also have a wide range of toys, games and art materials as well as outdoor play equipment. Your child may also complete homework tasks at our Centre to allow more time to spend together as a family when returning home after a busy day.
The St Mary’s Out of School Care approach encompasses ‘My Time, Our Place’ - a national framework developed for school age care in Australia. The framework acknowledges the importance of exploration, play and leisure in children’s learning and development and that their learning is not limited to any time or place. Developing life skills and a sense of enjoyment are emphasised. The framework recognises the importance of social and emotional development and communication in learning through exploration, play and leisure.
The five outcomes for children are:
• Children have a strong sense of identity.
• Children are connected with and contribute to their world.
• Children have a strong sense of well-being.
• Children are confident and involved learners.
• Children are effective communicators.

Our Vacation Care Programme includes a range of incursions and excursions from ideas brought forward by children and families at the Centre. A programme is available showing each day’s activities prior to the school holiday period. Morning and afternoon tea are served on all Vacation Care days. Families are required to provide their child with a packed lunch and water bottle.
Children must wear enclosed shoes to all outings and shirts with capped sleeves. If a child wears unsuitable clothing, an OOSC shirt will be supplied.
Is open to all children from Kindergarten to Year 6 who attend St Mary’s Anglican Girls’ School, and their siblings; however, families are responsible for arranging transport between schools. All families are required to provide the Centre with a completed enrolment form prior to their child commencing care.
