The following information will help to guide you through the process for enrolling for St Mary's.

Intake years

Our main intake years are Kindergarten, Year 1, Year 5, Year 6 and Year 7 as well as places in Years 7 and 8 for boarding students. Occasionally places become available in other years.

Enrolling your daughter

To enrol your daughter for St Mary's please complete our Application for Enrolment Form** and return this to us along with the Application Fee ($120).

Your daughter will then be placed on a progressive waiting list. Applications are processed in date order, with places allocated to boarders, siblings of current students and daughters of Old Girls first. As demand for places is very high we advise that you register your interest well in advance of your daughter's expected entry year. Specifically, for those enrolling their children for Kindergarten and Year 1, the date of application refers to the number of days since birth. For students applying for places in later years, applications are processed on the date of application.

Please note that enrolling your daughter at St Mary's does not automatically guarantee a place at the school.

Confirmation of a place

Kindergarten and Year 1

The availability of a place is usually confirmed approximately two years in advance of the date of admission. At this time, should your daughter’s name come into contention for a place, we will write to you with a formal offer and request payment, in full, of the non-refundable Endowment Fee. Following the receipt of payment, your family will be invited to attend an interview with the Head of Junior School.

Acceptance of a place in Kindergarten secures your daughter a place in Pre Primary, Year 1 and beyond at St Mary's.

Years 5 and 6

The availability of a place is usually confirmed approximately three years in advance of the date of admission. At this time, should your daughter’s name come into contention for a place, we will write to you with a formal offer and request payment, in full, of the non-refundable Endowment Fee. Following the receipt of payment, your family will be invited to attend an interview with the Head of Junior School.

Year 7

The availability of a place is usually confirmed approximately three years in advance of the date of admission. At this time, should your daughter’s name come into contention for a place, we will write to you with a formal offer and request payment, in full, of the non-refundable Endowment Fee. Following the receipt of payment, your family will be invited to attend an interview with the School Principal.

Boarding Students

The availability of a place is usually confirmed approximately three years in advance of the date of admission. Families will be invited to attend an interview with the School Principal. Written confirmation that placement is available is made after the interview. Parents are asked to confirm their acceptance of a place by paying a non-refundable Endowment Fee.

The Endowment Fee reserves a definite place for your daughter in the nominated year. More information about the Endowment Fee can be found in the Application for Enrolment Form.**
