Playgroup
A warm welcome to Early Learning at St Mary’s
Our Playgroup provides young children and their families with an opportunity to learn, play and connect within the St Mary’s community. Led by experienced early childhood educators, Playgroup offers a nurturing environment where children can explore, create and develop confidence through engaging, play-based experiences.
Designed for children from birth to four years of age, Playgroup supports early development while fostering meaningful connections between families. It is often the first step in a child’s educational journey and a wonderful introduction to our welcoming community and learning environment.
Playgroup is held every Tuesday from 9.15am to 10.30am in our Early Learning Centre. It is open to both boys and girls.
Why join Playgroup?
We believe children learn best through play, exploration and positive relationships. Each session is carefully designed to support children’s social, emotional, physical and early literacy development through hands-on experiences that inspire curiosity and creativity.
Children have the opportunity to:
- Explore a range of play-based learning experiences.
- Develop early communication and social skills.
- Build confidence and independence.
- Engage with music, movement and creative activities.
- Learn alongside experienced Early Childhood educators.
- Become familiar with the St Mary’s environment.
Parents are required to attend with their child/children. Morning tea is provided for both parents and their children.

St Mary’s is all about girls discovering their best. We want our students to be engrossed in the exploration of ideas, to be self-motivated and self-directed, to delight in trying something new and to contribute positively to the community.
