Year 4 is The Ideal Time to Join St Mary’s

At around ages 8 and 9, many girls are naturally open to new experiences, making it an ideal time to begin a fresh and exciting journey at St Mary’s. This stage of development offers a wonderful window for girls to embrace the welcoming environment we provide, preparing them for the next steps in their academic and personal growth.

By Year 4, students are ready to build on their early learning foundations and engage in deeper skill development that will benefit them for years to come. Our evidence-based literacy and numeracy programs strengthen their learning foundation, while inquiry-based projects foster ownership of their education and help develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills essential for future success.

At St Mary’s, your daughter will be encouraged to embrace academic challenges and explore the world of cocurricular activities with the support of a dedicated team. Each achievement, big or small, will help her to build the self-esteem and resilience that she will carry into her teenage years and beyond.

Friendships formed at ages 8 and 9 often grow into lifelong bonds.
