Class of 2022 achieves exceptional WACE results

POSTED December 20 2022 , News

St Mary’s Anglican Girls’ School is delighted to share the outstanding results of our Class of 2022 following this year’s WACE examinations.

The 2022 cohort performed strongly across all subjects and the academic depth of the group was reflected in St Mary’s median ATAR of 93.57, which ranks among the School’s best WACE results in 20 years. The 2022 median ATAR for Western Australia was 83.45.

More than 64 per cent of our students who achieved an ATAR earned a ranking of 90 and above. Forty-six per cent achieved an ATAR of 95 and above and eight per cent achieved an ATAR of 99 or higher.

We are also thrilled to announce that 2022 Dux, Chloe Ryan, was one of just 16 students who achieved an ATAR of 99.95.

This year was also an impressive one for our Elevate students, who collectively earned 44 Vocational Education and Training Certificates throughout 2022. These included two Certificate II, 23 Certificate III and 19 Certificate IV across a range of industries, including Allied Health Assistance, Business, Health Services Assistance, Community Services, Retail Cosmetics, Education Support, Design Fundamentals, Health and Nursing Studies, Sport and Recreation, Events and Retail.

St Mary’s Principal Mrs Judith Tudball said that she was extremely proud of everything that the Class of 2022 had achieved.

“The Class of 2022 are confident and curious young women who are self-aware, adaptable learners,” Mrs Tudball said.

“They have strived for personal excellence and have achieved exceptional results. They share a deep love of learning, and this has been reflected in their academic achievements and in the joy that the cohort brought to the School community throughout a challenging, COVID-impacted year.

“The girls are to be commended for their leadership and extensive contribution to the broader cocurricular life of the school. I wish the Class of 2022 every success and happiness in their future endeavours.”

The 2022 cohort included 154 students who achieved an ATAR, resulting in these impressive statistics:
