An Evening with Bronwyn Barnes

POSTED October 14 2025

Join us for an inspiring evening with Bronwyn Barnes (’84), mining executive and company director, who has forged a non-traditional path from arts graduate to mining powerhouse.

In conversation with St Mary’s Principal Judith Tudball, Bronwyn will share her insights on leadership, innovation and the careers of tomorrow, while exploring the evolving role of women in mining, science and enterprise. Known for her resilience, strategic insight and board leadership, Bronwyn will share how she found her voice in a male-dominated industry and the lessons she has learned along the way.

The evening will highlight how St Mary’s is preparing the next generation of women to thrive in our new Science, Enterprise, Technology and Innovation (SETI) Centre, and how Bronwyn’s remarkable journey in the mining industry has inspired her to make a transformational gift to this visionary project.
