Our Year 9 STEM Day was a fantastic celebration of creativity, problem-solving, and hands-on learning. Students spent the day exploring real-world applications of science and mathematics through a series of engaging challenges designed to spark curiosity and collaboration.
Highlights from the day included:
- ✅ Designing bionic hands – applying principles of engineering, robotics and anatomy.
- ✅ Experimenting with chemical cars – using bi-carb soda and vinegar reactions to power miniature vehicles.
- ✅ Tackling maths-based problem-solving tasks – working in teams to solve complex puzzles and scenarios.

This year’s event was especially exciting as our Year 9 students will be among the first to experience the new Science, Enterprise, Technology and Innovation (SETI) Centre, scheduled to open in late 2027. The SETI Centre will provide a cutting-edge space designed to foster innovation, collaboration, and future-focused learning for generations to come.
