Kindergarten | St Mary's Bright Beginnings
Our vibrant and spacious Kindergarten is where our girls begin their journey of discovery at St Mary’s. Teaching and learning in Kindergarten is child-centred, girl-focused and play-based, where intentional teaching is blended with inquiry-based learning experiences.
Kindergarten is available for girls that will be turning four by the 30June in the year that they commence.
Kindy is availabe as a fulltime program:
Monday - Friday | 8.30am - 2.45pm.
The five areas of learning and development in the Kindergarten Curriculum Guidelines are based on the five outcomes of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF). Areas of learning include: Identity, Connecting and Contributing, Wellbeing, Learning and Thinking and Communicating.
Specialist teaching and programs include: Religion, Physical Education, Music and Enrichment Programs. We hold an integrated Bush School, exploring our neighbouring Trigg Bushland Reserve during the cooler months of the year. Our girls attend the Junior School Assembly, Library and Chapel. We have a Speech Pathologist that can work with children on site and Child Health Nurses that conduct screening assessments.
Our aim in Kindergarten is to work in partnership with parents so all our girls have a bright beginning.
If you and your daughter would like to discover the St Mary's Kindy experience for yourself by attending a Kindy class for the morning, please register to attend 'A Peek Inside Early Years'.
