The Senior School Library, formally named the Elizabeth Myles Library in honour of the St Mary's Headmistress from 1944 to 1956, occupies a central place on the school campus, both geographically and educationally, and is a busy hub of learning activity.
Students are encouraged to become independent learners and researchers, supported by a team of professional library staff who are always on hand to direct, guide and advise. Year 11 students are invited to become part of the staff team by forming a Library Committee to assist with the daily circulation of resources. This option is particularly appealing to girls participating in the Duke of Edinburgh's Award Scheme.
