Where has life after St Mary’s taken you?

To Canberra! I moved here at the beginning of 2020 to begin my degree at the University of Canberra.

What do you think the biggest challenge was when you decided to move from your hometown?

Moving to a place where I knew nobody was definitely the biggest challenge for me.

You have been paired with a fellow Old Girl as part of the Ambassador Program – how have you found the experience?

This experience has been one of the best since I’ve moved to Canberra. Jane helped me settle into life here and welcomed me into her life and her family. We’ve become such good friends and I can’t imagine life without her.

What is your fondest memory of your time at St Mary’s?

I have two.

The first is winning CAPAF House singing! As Hackett Music Captain it was the most incredible day and I still remember the absolute elation whenever I think about it. My second is performing a trumpet concerto in front of the entire PAC audience. It was the most nerve-racking performance I’ve ever done but it was such an incredible experience.

What is the most important message you want to send out to young women thinking about moving away from Perth?

Do it!

It might seem super scary but it’s 100% worth it. You will meet people who will change your life and you will grow so much as a person.
