Double the spirit and double the success for St Mary’s sisters
POSTED October 15 2026 , News, Senior School
2026 has been an incredible year of success for sisters Elise (Year 9) and Mila (Year 11), whose talent, dedication and passion for cheerleading have earned them places on National teams, representing Australia on the world stage.
Elise represented Australia at the Junior ICU World Cheerleading Championships in Orlando, Florida, in April. Competing against some of the world’s best athletes, Elise and her teammates delivered an exceptional performance and were crowned World Champions in their division.
More recently, Elise was selected for the Youth All-Girl Australian Team, while Mila was named to the Junior All-Girl Australian Team. Both girls will proudly represent Australia in October at the 2026 ICU Asian Cheerleading Championships in Malaysia.
Representing Australia on the international stage is an incredible honour, and having both sisters selected for national teams in the same year is a truly special accomplishment. These achievements are a testament to the girls’ commitment to their sport, countless hours of training and unwavering determination to perform at the highest level, all the while balancing the demands of school commitments.
We are immensely proud of Elise and Mila and look forward to following their journey as they compete in Malaysia.
