St Mary’s Anglican Girls’ School launched its Centenary Week celebrations with a symbolic ceremony this morning. The School’s youngest student, Kiara, and oldest student, Arlene, joined Principal, Mrs Judith Tudball, to plant a Wollemi Pine in Chapel Gardens following a special blessing from School Chaplain, Father Richard Pengelley.

Year 11 students Chloe and Jaya caused the upset of today's 2021 WA School Surfing Titles by claiming victory in the Senior Girls event. The girls drew on their local knowledge of Trigg Beach break and surfed their hearts out to win a thrilling final against a highly touted pair from Margaret River Senior High School.

A St Mary's student's creative talents have helped her claim one of Western Australia's most prestigious youth art honours. Year 12 student, Emma, recently won the Upper Secondary category of the City of Subiaco Shaun Tan Award for Young Artists.

St Mary's was thrilled to learn that Year 12 student, Lucy, recently won the prestigious Zonta Club of Perth Young Women in Public Affairs Award. The Young Women in Public Affairs Award recognises young women, aged 16 to 19, who demonstrate superior leadership skills and a commitment to public service and civic causes.

Congratulations to our sensational Year 10s, who recently placed second in the 2021 National da Vinci Decathlon. After being crowned Australian champions in 2019 as Year 8s, Sorielle, Mae, Madison, Siena, Jaime, Isabella, Misree and Anya came incredibly close to claiming their second national title in three years.

St Mary's badminton aces Jessica (Year 11) and Brightnie (Year 9) teamed up to win the 2020 Livelighter Interschool Badminton girls doubles title on 11 June.

St Mary’s was recently crowned State Champions of the Australian Geography Competition for the second year running. Our girls blitzed the competition’s multiple choice questionnaire, which was designed to test students’ geographical knowledge and skills.
