Year 11 students visit Fortescue’s Eliwana Operations

Recently, some of our Year 11 students had an incredible opportunity to visit Fortescue’s Eliwana operations and gain firsthand insight into one of Australia’s most innovative mining environments.
The visit was part of our i³ Program, proudly supported by Fortescue as a Diamond Partner. Students experienced the scale and diversity of the operations and heard directly from employees about their career journeys and the many pathways into the resources industry.
Highlights of the day included:
- Witnessing a live blast
- Seeing autonomous mining fleets in action
- Visiting the Mobile Maintenance Workshop
- Touring the Eliwana village
- Watching Emergency Services demonstrations
- Hearing a Women in Mining presentation
- Viewing geological core samples
- Exploring virtual reality experiences
